Drink Milk, Support Dairy Campaign
The Japan Dairy Conference, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced the launch of the exciting campaign, "Drink Milk, Support Dairy!" which aims to bolster the dairy industry amidst increasing challenges in supply and demand. This initiative will engage 23 dairy manufacturers across the country, showcasing a total of 54 participating products.
To kick off the campaign, consumers are encouraged to purchase two or more cartons of milk from the selected products for a chance to win fabulous prizes from four different categories. Relevant to March 6, recognized as "Milk Day," a special television program will be aired at 20:55 on TOKYO MX, featuring our dairy ambassador, Takanene no Nadeshiko, who will call on viewers to support milk consumption and share their experiences on social media.
Campaign Details
The campaign runs from March 1 to March 31, 2026, where receipts of eligible purchases can be uploaded on a dedicated website for a chance to win prizes like a Yogurt Maker, Ice Cream Maker, or a signed T-shirt from Takanene no Nadeshiko. In addition, those who do not win in the main draw will have a chance to win one of Nestlé's portion products, creating an exciting opportunity for participants.
Takanene no Nadeshiko will also perform at a live event on March 7, where campaign advertising will be prominently displayed, further promoting the message of supporting dairy farmers. This campaign seeks to highlight the impact of rising feed prices due to international situations and currency fluctuations, creating a pressing need for consumers to embrace milk consumption during the seasonal period when production is high but consumption remains low.
This initiative is rooted in the aim to ensure stable supply of fresh milk while contributing to the healthy development of Japan’s dairy farmers and enhancing national health through the promotion of safe and delicious milk consumption. The outreach during this campaign aligns closely with ongoing efforts to address the economic difficulties faced by dairy farmers across Japan.
Special Broadcast
To enhance the campaign, a special program titled "5 o'clock Dream! Spinoff Special: 'Crazy About Milk!' 2026" will be broadcast on March 6 to celebrate the event’s significance. The program will resonate with viewers and encourage them to raise a toast with a glass of milk while sharing their posts on social media, echoing the theme of milk awareness. Takanene no Nadeshiko will be joined by prominent personalities including announcer Yuka Oshima and cooking researcher Yuriko Matsuoka to demonstrate simple yet delicious milk-based recipes that viewers can try at home.
Join the Conversation
During the campaign, from March 6 to March 15, 2026, participants will be invited to share pictures of milk or dairy products on X (formerly Twitter), as a part of the “Milk Day's Milk Hour” campaign. Entrants stand a chance to win signed merchandise from Takanene no Nadeshiko, encouraging an interactive and fun engagement around dairy products. This campaign not only seeks to promote milk drinking but also foster community connection by inviting messages directed towards dairy farmers, amplifying the message of support for the demographic.
Through initiatives like this, the Japan Dairy Conference intends to reassure consumers about the quality and safety of local dairy products, further bridging the gap between supply and demand especially as the dairy industry faces unprecedented challenges. By inviting participation and enhancing consumer awareness, the campaign aims to inspire everyone to enjoy the rewards of dairy while helping to underpin the livelihoods of dairy farmers nationwide.
In closing, let us rally behind the #DrinkMilk campaign, utilizing every opportunity to appreciate the true value of dairy while understanding the efforts of those who contribute tirelessly to its production!
