IX at IPVS 2026: Advancing Global HPV Prevention Strategies Collaboratively

Xiamen Innovax Biotech Co., Ltd. (IX) recently participated in the 38th annual International Papillomavirus Society conference, known as IPVS 2026, held in Athens, Greece, from October 22 to 25. This year's theme, "Together Against HPV," set the stage for engaging discussions among leading experts and partners from across the globe regarding HPV prevention and the collective goal of eradicating cervical cancer.

At the event, IX hosted an international booth, inviting participants to explore discussions centered around vaccine innovation, scientific evidence, accessibility, and the necessity for worldwide collaboration. The booth featured an interactive signature board and a display wall where attendees could share their insights and commitments towards HPV prevention.

Recognizing the variety of public health needs and challenges faced by different countries, IX emphasized the importance of listening to global voices and adapting solutions to the local contexts. This approach highlights the organization’s commitment to translating scientific innovations into accessible and sustainable healthcare solutions.

During the congress, Dr. Nana A. Ansah from Ghana presented preliminary analysis from the sixth month of an immuno-bridging study using a single dose of the PATH HPV vaccine. This ongoing multicentric Phase III, double-blind, randomized study is evaluating the immunogenicity and safety of a single dose of Cecolin 9 against Gardasil 9. The study is being conducted among girls aged 9 to 14 and young women aged 15 to 20 in Ghana and the Philippines, with final data anticipated in 2028.

Innovax's HPV vaccine portfolio includes Cecolin, its WHO-prequalified bivalent HPV vaccine, and Cecolin 9, a cutting-edge nonavalent vaccine introduced in China in 2025. Leveraging its proprietary viral-like particle (VLP) technology derived from E. coli, IX continues to advance vaccine innovations, scale-up production, and foster international partnerships. Through technology transfer and capacity-building initiatives, IX aims to secure a sustainable supply of vaccines that directly addresses local public health needs.

The IPVS 2026 conference reaffirmed IX's commitment to listening, learning, and collaborating with the global HPV community. Guided by its mission to provide high-quality, affordable vaccines, IX is poised to advance HPV prevention and contribute to the shared ambition of eliminating cervical cancer. The organization recognizes the power of collective efforts in tackling public health challenges and remains dedicated to extending its expertise and resources to support this critical cause, ensuring that no voice goes unheard in the fight against HPV.
