SFO is on a mission, pledging to operate with zero net carbon emissions and the new charging hub will play a pivotal role in achieving this goal. California's Clean Miles Standard, which mandates that 90% of rideshare miles must be traveled by electric vehicles by 2030, further emphasizes the need for infrastructure tailored for EVs. By meeting this demand, the new hub is projected to help avoid over 200,000 tons of CO2 emissions in its first decade of operation.

Ensuring Efficiency with High-Capacity Chargers

The installation of 24 charging ports, operating at 400 kW, will future-proof the site for upcoming electric vehicle models that require higher charging rates. Earlier, the company received a $10 million grant from the California Energy Commission to develop publicly accessible electric truck stops along Interstate 5 in Southern California. Additionally, the recent selection by the Port of San Diego to construct a 70-port electric truck charging hub signifies their ongoing efforts to spearhead electric vehicle charging solutions.

With operations spanning seven states and a growing network that includes the West Coast Highway Corridor (WCHC) DC Fast Charging Network, Skycharger is determined to shape the future of electric vehicle charging.
