A CAPITOL FOURTH 250th WEEKEND CELEBRATION on July 3, 2026. This spectacular event, hosted by the beloved television personality
Alfonso Ribeiro, promises an evening filled with remarkable performances, heartfelt tributes, and an awe-inspiring fireworks display, all broadcast live from the historic West Lawn of the United States Capitol Building!
A Night of Music and Patriotism
This year marks a special milestone for the nation as it celebrates its
250th birthday. The event, now in its
46th year, will bring together renowned music artists and special performances designed to honor the courage and sacrifice of America's military men and women.
Trace Adkins, a multi-platinum country music icon, will take the stage with the exclusive television debut of his new song “American Made,” celebrating the spirit of patriotism and the contributions of generations of Americans.
The evening's finale will feature stirring patriotic favorites played by
The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own”, alongside performances from legendary artists spanning various genres. From
Chicago, the iconic rock band, to the multi-talented
Patti LaBelle, and Grammy-winning acts like
Kool & The Gang and
Carly Pearce, the lineup showcases a blend of pop, country, R&B, Broadway, and classical music, all coming together to create a night to remember.
Magnificent Fireworks Display
As a highlight, the event will include the
largest live fireworks show ever displayed over
George Washington’s Mount Vernon, a fitting backdrop for the celebration of America's heritage. Spectators can expect a magnificent display that will captivate audiences, complemented by a stunning rendition of the
“1812 Overture” featuring live cannon fire provided by the United States Army Presidential Salute Battery.
Tribute to American Achievements
The
A CAPITOL FOURTH 250th WEEKEND CELEBRATION will also honor the
Artemis II mission, which highlights America’s cutting-edge space exploration. Emceed by Emmy Award-winner
Gary Sinise, this segment will pay tribute to the astronauts involved in the mission, showcasing America’s journey through space history and the spirit of innovation it embodies.
In addition, the event will pay homage to
Team USA's Olympic athletes, celebrating their remarkable achievements at the Winter Games, with musical tributes from the National Symphony Orchestra. This festive occasion not only recognizes the past but also looks forward to the upcoming
2028 Games in Los Angeles.
