UMEZZ HORROR HOUSE ~ Drifting Classroom and Thought Experiment Exhibition - The Most Terrifying Version. This special edition will run from August 19 to September 6, 2026, at GALLERY ZENON in Kichijoji, Tokyo, capturing the essence of Kazuo Umezu's horror universe.
A Distinctive Horror Experience
This immersive experience will feature enhanced horror elements, including new casts and intensified spatial effects to amplify the fear. Participants will step into the world of
Drifting Classroom, experiencing a deeper level of immersion that transports them straight into the narrative. The event will take place daily from 17:00 to 20:00, with the
Most Terrifying Version being available after 17:00 for an adrenaline-packed hour.

Drifting Classroom, with the experiential notion of the
Thought Experiment Exhibition, a format that has attracted over 20,000 visitors in past events. Attendees will become a character from the
Drifting Classroom, facing agonizing choices within a tense environment that tests their instincts and values.

This unique exhibition invites participants to ponder, “If you could live in another world, how would you survive?” By immersing themselves within the story, visitors will encounter thought-provoking challenges that will reveal their underlying values and beliefs—offering an illuminating self-discovery experience unparalleled in traditional exhibitions. Previously held in Tokyo and Osaka, this event reached sold-out success and left participants reflecting on their choices long after.

About Kazuo Umezu

Drifting Classroom won the Shogakukan Manga Award, while also gaining acclaim for his comedic skills in
Makoto-chan. With a career spanning decades and multiple awards, Umezu continues to impact the world of manga and beyond.
