Sogang University Introduces Full-Tuition Scholarship for International STEM Grad Students in Seoul
Sogang University's New Initiative for International Graduate Students
In a groundbreaking move to attract international talent in the fields of science and engineering, Sogang University Graduate School in Seoul has unveiled a full-tuition scholarship program specifically for international STEM graduate students. This initiative, known as the SOGANG RISE SURPASS TRACK, aims to alleviate the financial burden of tuition fees, which often poses a significant hurdle for prospective students considering their education in Korea.
A Comprehensive Tuition Waiver
Eligible students can benefit from a 100% tuition waiver, comprising a 50% scholarship from the Seoul ANCHOR Project and an additional 50% covered by the Sogang Global Scholarship. This arrangement not only eliminates tuition expenses but also includes various forms of support aimed at enhancing the overall educational experience. However, it is important to note that admission and other mandatory fees are not included in this waiver.
By connecting international students with resources within the Sogang University system, the program provides crucial academic support, including grants for research and publication efforts, enhancements in Korean language proficiency, internship assistance, and other resources essential for a successful academic journey. The objective is clear: to allow students to focus on their studies while becoming familiar with Korea's academic landscape and its associated industries.
