Sunflower Season at Soleil Hill: A Blooming Summer Spectacle Awaiting You

Experience the Breathtaking Sunflower Fields at Soleil Hill

This summer, Soleil Hill in Yokosuka, managed by Hibiya Kadan Co., Ltd., will be welcoming visitors to witness about 100,000 sunflowers in full bloom starting from early August. The location at Nagai Seaside Park promises a vibrant display, typically peaking in the first week of August and continuing to offer beauty until late September.

Due to a typhoon in June impacting planting schedules, the blooming period has been extended, enabling visitors to enjoy the flowers even after the summer heat begins to wane. This year’s sunflower festivities will include not only breathtaking panels of golden sunflowers but also seasonal gourmet treats inspired by the vibrant blooms, available until August 30, 2026. Furthermore, a photo contest with attractive prizes will encourage guests to share their experiences on social media.

Sunflower Blooming Information

The sunflowers will be divided into several sections within the park, blooming incrementally to ensure that visitors can enjoy the flowers for an extended period. The primary varieties featured include the dazzling yellow Pioneer and the uniquely shaped Dancing Sun, each presenting its own distinct beauty against the summer sky. The best viewing spots are recommended during both day and sunset, where the golden hues of the flowers can create stunning photographic opportunities.
