Haier Biomedical's European Partner Summit in Rome: A Leap Forward for Biomedical Innovation

Haier Biomedical recently convened its European Partner Summit in Rome under the motto "Advancing Together – Sharing the Future of Biomedical Innovation." This significant gathering saw the participation of 37 regional partners and industry leaders from 23 European countries. The summit underlined Haier's long-term commitment to the European market by introducing an expanded portfolio of laboratory solutions, focusing on a strategic enhancement of its brand offerings.

The conference highlighted a new strategy geared towards application-oriented solutions based on scenario planning, aiming for deeper localization in Europe and more comprehensive, tailored services throughout the region.

Strategic Vision and Commitment

At the forefront of this event was Enrique Wang, the Global Market Director for Haier Biomedical. Wang articulated the company’s aspiration to achieve over 50% of its global revenue from international markets by 2027, and similarly, to earn more than half of its revenue outside the cooling sector by 2028. He emphasized that Europe continues to be a strategic priority within Haier’s globalization efforts, reflecting the localization principle of “In Europe, for Europe,” which ensures that products, services, and support are adapted to meet regional regulatory standards, customer expectations, and application requirements.

Semir Selimovic, the Director for Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe at Haier Biomedical Europe, elaborated on the company's strategy for the region in 2026, highlighting ongoing investments in local sales, service, and product expertise to enhance responsiveness and execution in key markets. Europe has emerged as one of the fastest-growing international regions for Haier Biomedical, supported by the expansion of local teams and a steady growth in its product portfolio.

Portfolio Expansion and New Innovations

Among the new products drawn attention to during the summit was the Plasma Apheresis System XJ-III, which has received EU MDR certification—a significant milestone in meeting stringent European regulatory requirements and strengthening Haier Biomedical’s foothold in blood and plasma technology. Additionally, Haier's CO₂ incubators, centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, and refrigeration series are gaining market share across Europe due to energy-efficient technologies and adherence to regional certification standards. The advancements showcased in Rome mark a step towards a complete portfolio that supports laboratories, hospitals, and life sciences institutions with comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.

Automation and Intelligent Blood Management as Growth Drivers

Daniele Pericolini, the European Automation Solution Specialist at Haier Biomedical, outlined the company’s strategy to drive future growth through laboratory automation and intelligent blood management systems. Haier’s automated biobanking solutions integrate RFID-capable ultra-low temperature storage, modular automation platforms, and liquid nitrogen systems to improve sample traceability and operational efficiency. By addressing challenges such as sample integrity, temperature monitoring, and high-density storage, the company positions itself to meet the growing demand for advanced biobanking infrastructure in Europe.

Furthermore, the intelligent blood management solution, U-Blood, represents a shift from traditional cold storage to real-time connected blood supply chain management. This offering was developed to reduce waste, improve traceability, and support transfusion workflows around the clock, aligning with Europe’s increasing focus on safety, digitalization, and zero-waste initiatives in healthcare.

Recognition from European Partners and Brand Positioning

During the summit, success stories from four European partners from Germany, Slovenia, France, and Denmark were presented, underscoring the strong local acceptance of Haier Biomedical’s solutions. In France, a long-standing partner showcased a biosafety cabinet tailored to French standards, which is utilized by over 100 customers across more than 230 units. In Denmark, a partner reported the success of their ultra-low temperature devices through public tenders and ongoing expansion into additional product categories. In Slovenia, large-scale pharmaceutical installations highlighted the company's capabilities in managing complex projects across multiple units. Partners from Central Europe also emphasized reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer service as key differentiators.

Strong International Growth in 2025

Haier Biomedical’s expansion in Europe is supported by robust financial performance. In 2025, the company reported revenues exceeding 2.3 billion RMB, with international revenue reaching 840 million RMB, accounting for over 36% of total revenues—reflecting sustained global expansion. Europe noted double-digit growth, contributing substantially to the overall increase in international revenues. The company's AI-driven and automation-related solutions accounted for about 15% of total revenue in 2025, indicating accelerated technology-driven transformation. These figures reflect a broader shift from hardware exports toward delivering localized solutions supported by regional teams and certifications across more than 18 countries.

In conclusion, the European Partner Summit reaffirmed Haier Biomedical’s commitment to enhancing local operations, expanding automation and life science solutions, and fostering shared growth with partners. By combining global innovation capabilities with local implementation in Europe, the company aims to solidify its position as a trusted provider of life science solutions well into 2026 and beyond.
