VinFast Introduces the 2027 VF 8 Electric SUV to the U.S. Market

VinFast, the groundbreaking electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially commenced sales of its latest model, the 2027 VF 8, in the U.S. This launch signifies a remarkable step in the company’s commitment to enhancing its product offerings and strengthening its position in the North American market. The new model showcases vital upgrades in safety features, technology, and overall driving experience, solidifying VinFast's dedication to providing high-quality electric vehicles (EVs) to its customers.

Key Features of the 2027 VF 8

Starting in September 2026, the 2027 VF 8 will be available for display and purchase at select dealerships throughout key U.S. cities, including Chicago, Orlando, and San Diego. VinFast is offering the VF 8 in two trim levels: ECO, priced at $40,400, and PLUS, starting at $45,600. As part of their initiative to promote EV purchases, VinFast will provide attractive financing options such as 0% APR for up to 84 months, along with flexible leasing alternatives to cater to a broader audience.

One of the standout features of the MY27 VF 8 is its upgraded Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These extensive safety systems are designed to enhance driver confidence and convenience, making everyday driving safer and more enjoyable. Some key components of the new ADAS suite include:

  • - Automatic Emergency Stop Assist (AESA): This system automatically decelerates and stops the vehicle if the driver fails to respond, activating hazard lights and alerting emergency services.
  • - Rear Automatic Emergency Braking (RAEB): This feature engages the brakes when reversing if it detects an imminent collision, ensuring additional safety for pedestrians and obstacles.
  • - Intersection Assist (IA): Provides alerts when entering an intersection, if there's a potential collision risk with traffic or pedestrians.
  • - Auto Lane Changing Assist (ALCA): Assists drivers with lane changes by providing steering guidance, enhancing safety during these maneuvers.
  • - Evasive Steering Assist (ESA): Aids in avoiding frontal obstacles when braking alone may not be sufficient, enhancing driver control and vehicle stability.

Commitment to Sustainable Mobility

Beyond technological advancements, VinFast has also launched a new feature on its website—the Energy Cost Savings Calculator. This tool allows prospective buyers to evaluate potential savings when transitioning from traditional gasoline vehicles to electric models, accounting for personal driving habits and local energy costs.

VinFast’s long-term strategy focuses on establishing a formidable and sustainable presence in North America. The company emphasizes continuous product innovation and expansion of its retail and service networks, ensuring that American consumers have access to their cutting-edge electric vehicles. As part of their growth trajectory, VinFast is scaling its distribution and dealership networks globally, with a vision to expand manufacturing across numerous regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia.
