Immunic Appoints Chitrang Davé as Chief Data and Digital Officer

This newly formed executive position emphasizes Immunic's dedication to developing a robust, data-centric ecosystem in preparation for its potential New Drug Application (NDA) submission and subsequent commercialization strategies.

Mr. Davé will directly report to Immunic's CEO, Erik Lundgren, and play a crucial role within the executive leadership team. In this capacity, he will be responsible for establishing and managing comprehensive data systems, analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital strategies across Immunic’s operations. His leadership aims to unify data science, engineering, management, and digital capabilities to facilitate the company's movement from late-stage clinical trials to being market-ready.

As Immunic prepares for key milestones, including the expected top-line data from the Phase 3 ENSURE trials of vidofludimus calcium in relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS) and advancements in its Phase 3 program for progressive MS, Mr. Davé’s expertise will be vital. The company acknowledges that a solid data infrastructure is essential for transitioning from pivotal data collection to regulatory submissions and subsequent commercial success.

Mr. Davé brings over 25 years of global leadership experience in data, analytics, AI, and digital transformation within regulated life sciences sectors. He previously held the role of Head of Enterprise Data, AI, and Advanced Analytics at Avidity Biosciences, where he successfully developed and executed an enterprise data strategy for a rapidly growing biotech preparing for commercial launch. Before that, he was the Global Head of Enterprise Data and Analytics at Edwards Lifesciences.

In addition to his impressive career at Avidity, he spent 16 years at Medtronic, where he held various senior roles in data and analytics leadership.

To incentivize Mr. Davé as part of his employment terms, Immunic's Board of Directors has granted him an initial equity option to purchase 120,000 shares of the company’s stock under the Immunic, Inc. 2026 Inducement Equity Compensation Plan. This option will vest over a period, with 25% maturing on the one-year anniversary of his employment, which commenced on August 30, 2026.
