TENNIIX Unveils Groundbreaking AI Tennis Robot at Billie Jean King Cup Finals

TENNIIX Revolutionizes Tennis Training with AI Technology

In a pivotal moment for the world of tennis, TENNIIX, a prominent brand in the sports technology sector, unveiled the TENNIIX ULTRA MAX, an innovative tennis robot featuring sophisticated embodied AI. This unveiling took place during the prestigious Billie Jean King Cup 2026 Finals, marking a significant milestone not only for TENNIIX but for the future of training in tennis.

The advanced robot has been developed through a collaboration between TENNIIX, Shenzhen Enhanced Power Technology Co., Ltd., and LimX Dynamics. The unveiling showcased ULTRA MAX’s impressive abilities, demonstrating a new model of adaptive sports training that is set to redefine the way players approach their practice sessions.

Performance Showcase

During the event, Chinese tennis star Wang Qiang took to the court to face the ULTRA MAX in a remarkable demonstration. The robot executed various challenging shots, including topspin lobs and deep, high-bouncing balls, compelling Wang to engage in an intense rally. This not only testified to the robot’s precision but also displayed its capacity to exert demand and pressure similar to that of human opponents, providing a rigorous training experience even for seasoned professionals.

One of the key technological features of ULTRA MAX is its integration of the TENNIIX PRO AI training system and TRON 2 mobility platform from LimX Dynamics. This combination allows the robot to analyze real-time data without needing external detection equipment. It tracks ball trajectories, spins, impacts, and player movements, while also utilizing intelligent voice interaction for coaching instructions. The adaptive AI component adjusts subsequent serves based on the player's returns, creating a varied and unpredictable training environment that includes fast serves, short balls, powerful topspins, and intricate slices.

Robotics Meets Mobility

The LimX Dynamics’ robotic platform is designed to enhance the ULTRA MAX’s mobility. It offers multidirectional movement capabilities, tight turns, quick stops, and stable positioning. Additionally, the adjustable structure can modify the ball toss height between 1.2 and 1.6 meters, merging dynamic movement with variable ball trajectories for a richer training experience. This shift represents a transition from predetermined ball feeds to a more interactive training model that challenges players' movement, shot selection, and consistency in a manner not previously possible.

Empowering Players Through AI

TENNIIX harbors ambitious objectives for incorporating AI as a tangible aspect of daily training for athletes. By addressing challenges such as the quest for a compatible and available training partner, TENNIIX aims to make engaging and versatile training accessible to a broader range of players. The upcoming deployment of ULTRA MAX in tennis clubs and training facilities is envisioned to complement traditional coaching methods, multiply training opportunities, and enhance the overall court experience for users.

Both TENNIIX and LimX Dynamics are rooted in Shenzhen, a city renowned for its robotics and engineering ecosystem. As part of their ongoing endeavors, ULTRA MAX is also expected to feature prominently at future Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings, where its potential in practical sports applications will be highlighted and celebrated. This initiative signifies more than just technological demonstration; it’s an evolution towards integrating advanced AI into everyday sports, paving the way for future innovations in athletic training.
