JAL Group Announces Flight Schedule Adjustments
Japan Airlines (JAL) has made significant alterations to its flight schedules for both international and domestic routes for the latter half of fiscal year 2025, aiming to cater to growing passenger demands and enhance service offerings.
International Flights
In response to the flourishing winter inbound demand, JAL will increase its Narita-Melbourne route from three flights a week to daily service from October 26, 2025, through March 28, 2026. The airline is also set to resume flights on the Narita-Shanghai route during this period.
Additionally, starting November 9, JAL will operate the modern Airbus A350-1000 on the Haneda-Paris route (flights JL45/JL46) every day. This addition means that the A350-1000 will be in daily operation on five routes, totaling twelve flights.
To cater to the anticipated recovery in demand for overseas travel among Japanese citizens, JAL will implement increased flights for the Honolulu route in conjunction with the JAL Honolulu Marathon scheduled for December 14, 2025, and the year-end holiday season. First-class service will also be introduced for this route, allowing passengers to experience the luxurious JAL Suite.
Limited-Time First Class Offer on Honolulu Route
Passengers can enjoy a unique first-class experience on the Honolulu flights, featuring the exclusive JAL Suite, providing unparalleled comfort and luxury.
Domestic Flights
To satisfy robust inbound demand for Hokkaido this winter, JAL will boost the Tokyo (Haneda) - Sapporo (New Chitose) route from 17 to 18 round trips daily from January 6 to February 28, 2026. Similarly, the Osaka (Itami) - Sapporo line will increase from four to five daily round trips from January 31 to February 28, 2026.
From October 26, 2025, to January 31, 2026, the Fukuoka-Okinawa (Naha) route will expand from six to seven daily round trips. Furthermore, from December 26, 2025, to January 4, 2026, there will be an increase on the Nagoya (Chubu) - Okinawa (Naha) route from four to five daily round trips.
JAL will also make necessary adjustments to some routes originating from Sapporo (Okadama) during the harsh winter season to enhance operational reliability in case of adverse weather conditions.
In its ongoing commitment to creating social and economic value through mobility, Japan Airlines continues to adapt its route networks, ensuring they meet evolving customer needs.
