Celebrating Earth Day 2025: Reolink's Commitment to Global Conservation Through NGO Partnerships
Celebrating Earth Day 2025
In the spirit of Earth Day, celebrated on April 22, 2025, Reolink, a prominent leader in intelligent home visual technology, is stepping up its commitment to environmental conservation. With the growing relevance of wildlife protection and ecosystem preservation, Reolink has made significant strides by collaborating with global NGOs over the last five years.
Advancing Conservation Efforts
Since its inception of these partnerships, Reolink has donated nearly 1,000 cameras to various NGOs around the world. These devices are not merely tools; they serve as vital lifelines in the endeavor to observe, document, and protect diverse ecosystems and endangered species. In 2024 alone, Reolink increased its outreach by partnering with 13 new organizations, providing them with cutting-edge camera technology that facilitates remote monitoring of wildlife.
The cameras allow for real-time data collection, ensuring minimal disturbance in the animals’ natural habitats. For instance, the cameras have been crucial in ongoing initiatives like the Oliver Ridley Project, which aims to conserve sea turtles in the Maldives, and the BCN Honey Fest initiative in Spain, dedicated to protecting bee populations.
Technological Integration in Conservation
An example of Reolink's advanced technology in action is with Salviamo l'Orso (SLO) in Italy, which employs the Reolink Go Ranger PT, recognized as the world's first 4K 4G pan-tilt wildlife camera. This camera is being utilized within SLO’s AI-powered wildlife detection and alert system, WADAS, aimed at safeguarding the critically endangered Marsican brown bear. According to Stefano Dell'Osa, Project Team Leader of WADAS,
