OMED26: Celebrating Growth and the Future of Osteopathic Medicine

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) is thrilled to announce the upcoming OMED26, taking place from October 22-25 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. This year’s conference marks a monumental occasion as it coincides with the profession's growth, showcasing a record number of over 218,000 DOs and osteopathic medical students across the United States according to the 2026 Osteopathic Medical Profession Report.

The theme for this year's event is "Your Career. Your Path. Your OMED," inviting participants to tailor their experiences to fulfill their personal and professional development aspirations. With more than 200 hours of educational programming available, attendees have the chance to earn up to 60 continuing medical education (CME) credits in person, with the flexibility of accessing OMED On-Demand content through December 31, 2026, allowing for a more accommodating learning experience.

Richard R. Thacker, DO, MACOI, the President of the AOA, emphasized the significance of OMED as a collaborative space for osteopathic professionals. He stated, "OMED is a unique experience where the osteopathic profession comes together from every specialty to learn from one another and strengthen the whole-person approach to care. The connections and experiences shared at OMED help physicians serve patients and communities long after the conference ends."
