Misumi's 2025 Student Manufacturing Support Program Launches with Enhanced Offerings

Misumi's 2025 Student Manufacturing Support Program Launches

Misumi Group, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has officially commenced the 2025 Student Manufacturing Support Program, starting on January 7, 2026. This initiative is designed to empower student organizations that have successfully passed the selection process, providing them with essential parts and components to facilitate their projects in engineering and manufacturing. This year, a total of 110 organizations will receive support, including ten special support recipients each awarded products worth approximately 100,000 yen, while another 100 groups will receive support in the form of 50,000 yen worth of Misumi products.

The modern manufacturing industry is facing unprecedented challenges, including a declining workforce, the pressing need for skilled labor, and the complications introduced by Digital Transformation (DX). This shift necessitates the effective transmission of skills and enhances productivity amidst a backdrop of unstable global circumstances. As the demand for a robust supply chain grows, so does the need for cutting-edge solutions via advanced collaboration between humans and machines. It is within this framework that STEAM education has become increasingly critical to cultivate the next generation of manufacturing talent capable of tackling these multifaceted issues.

The Misumi Student Manufacturing Support Program is an annual initiative aimed at student organizations engaged in engineering-based manufacturing. It offers a unique opportunity for these groups to select from a staggering portfolio of over 30 million items, with even more variations when considering size differences in custom-ordered products. Furthermore, the program includes access to the AI-driven procurement platform, meviy, where designers can swiftly receive quotes and delivery times for machine components by simply uploading their 3D designs.
