Derived from the concept of sports GOMI, participants form teams of three and compete to collect as much waste as possible within a designated area in a limited timeframe. Points are awarded based on both the weight and types of rubbish collected, creating a spirited and friendly competition.

The event promises not only to raise awareness about the global marine litter crisis but also to promote a culture of sustainability and teamwork among participants. This year's activities will unfold at the Minakuru Plaza, a hub located at the heart of the historical Minakuchi, surrounded by the scenic remnants of a former post town.

The event will kick off with a registration period at 12:30 PM, followed by an opening ceremony that introduces the organizers and explains the event's rules. The competition is divided into two main rounds of trash collection, each lasting 30 minutes, punctuated by a half-time eSports tournament featuring popular games like Puyo Puyo eSports.
