APA Japan Revival Award: Results Announcement



The APA Foundation, a public interest incorporated organization, has officially announced the results of the prestigious APA Japan Revival Award. Starting April 1, 2025, the foundation will be inviting submissions for potential nominees, with the esteemed Keiiichiro Kobori, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo, serving as the head of the judging panel. Alongside him will be distinguished individuals such as Kazuo Komatsuzaki, former president of Hochi Newspaper, Masahiro Imamura, former member of the House of Representatives, Yuuzo Fukui, special professor at Tokyo International University, and Yoshitaka Harada, a representative lawyer from Harada International Law Office.

Following a thorough evaluation process, the committee has selected two remarkable works for the APA Japan Revival Award Excellence Prize, acknowledging their high caliber and significant contributions to the discourse surrounding modern history.

The winners of the Excellence Prize each receive a cash award of 5 million yen. The announcement on October 8 aligns with the recent scholarship essay contest titled “True Modern Historical Perspective.”

An awards ceremony is set to take place on December 8, 2025, at Meiji Memorial Hall starting at 14:30. Following the ceremony, there will be a special lecture by the esteemed Kohei Oda, recipient of the Best Work Award, at 15:30, and a celebratory reception will follow at 17:00.
