Kia America's Record Sales Milestone Continues Through April 2025

Kia America has reached a significant achievement in the automotive sector, delivering a record-breaking 74,805 units in April 2025. This marks a 14% increase compared to the same month last year, and extends Kia's impressive sales streak to an astounding seven consecutive months of growth. The surge in sales has further solidified Kia's position in the competitive market and reflects the company's strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Strong Sales Across Models

April saw standout performances from several popular models. Notably, the Telluride, Sportage, Carnival, and the recently introduced K4 all set new sales records for the month. The Telluride experienced a substantial 21% increase, while the Sportage and Carnival followed closely with sales rising by 18% and an impressive 79% respectively, fueled by a successful hybrid launch during the latter half of the previous year. Furthermore, Kia's electric vehicle (EV) sales soared by 21% year-over-year, highlighting the brand's shift towards electrification and sustainable mobility.

Commitment to Innovation and Customer Satisfaction

Eric Watson, Vice President of Commercial Operations at Kia America, commented on the consistent sales growth stating, "Achieving record sales for seven consecutive months has only strengthened the Kia brand. We are committed to enhancing our product line and improving customer satisfaction through continuous innovation." This dedication is evident with Kia's recent launch of the EV6 and EV9 models at their manufacturing plant in Georgia, both of which are eligible for federal tax incentives. The transition to adopting CCS and NACS charging standards has also enabled Kia EV customers access to over 40,000 charging points nationwide, enhancing the convenience and flexibility of ownership.

Debuting New Models at the International Auto Show

Kia continued to showcase its forward-thinking approach at the 2025 New York International Auto Show, presenting significant updates to its model lineup. The unveiling of the K4 Hatchback, which builds on the success of its sedan counterpart, adds greater flexibility and interior space for drivers and passengers alike. The EV9 Nightfall Edition made waves with its sleek black details and exclusive 20-inch glossy black wheels. Kia also introduced the fully electric EV4 which aims to expand the appeal of electric vehicles with innovative design, technology, and range to meet diverse customer needs.

Prestigious Recognitions

Kia's commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. At the Auto Show, the Kia EV3 was awarded the title of World Car of the Year 2025, marking the second consecutive year Kia has achieved this significant accolade, following the EV9's win in 2024. Additionally, Kia was honored as the Sustainable Disruptor of the Year at the 2025 Newsweek Auto Disruptor Awards, a testament to its dedicated collaboration with The Ocean Cleanup and its efforts to eliminate plastic waste from our oceans.
