Enhancing Customer Experience: MonotaRO's New Delivery Date Feature
MonotaRO, a leading supplier of indirect materials and industrial supplies, is set to introduce a new delivery date display feature. Starting on April 17, 2025, customers will be able to see the estimated delivery date when placing orders for eligible products. This enhancement is part of MonotaRO's commitment to improving customer convenience throughout the procurement process.
MonotaRO has continuously worked on increasing the efficiency of indirect material procurement and ensuring fast and reliable delivery of products. The introduction of this new function allows customers to better plan their work schedules around expected delivery times. In addition to this feature, MonotaRO has also expanded the cutoff time for same-day shipment orders to 17:00, which previously was 15:00, for certain delivery regions.
Details of the Delivery Date Display Function
The new feature aims to simplify the ordering process. Here are the key details:
- - Start Date: The feature goes live on April 17, 2025, for orders placed on that date.
- - Applicable Sites: Customers can access this feature through the MonotaRO website (https://www.monotaro.com/) and the centralized procurement service “ONE SOURCE Lite” for large enterprises. Note that customers using catalog linkage systems (punch-out) from large purchasing management systems will not be eligible.
- - Delivery Partners: The service will utilize Yamato Transport for deliveries.
- - Eligible Deliveries: The feature covers standard deliveries via宅急便 and EAZY service, encompassing over 600,000 items that qualify for same-day shipment. However, certain items like direct shipments and large goods may be excluded.
Display Mechanism
- - On the PC site, the estimated delivery date will be displayed for each order item’s shipping unit.
- - The delivery date is displayed from midnight to 17:00 on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
- - Note that specific delivery regions might have variations in display times, with some areas showing from 0 to 15:00**. The display will remain until the cutoff time for same-day shipment products.
Exceptions
- - Customers placing orders via mobile browsers or apps may not see the estimated delivery dates.
- - Items that are not eligible for same-day shipping, large goods, or those utilizing promotional codes that delay shipping will also not show estimated dates.
Important Considerations
- - The displayed delivery date is an estimate and may be subject to delays due to traffic or shipping conditions.
- - In cases where the delivery date can't be displayed, customers are advised to check their expected delivery dates as per the usual process outlined in the user guide.
