Japanese Lifesaving Team Gears Up for The World Games 2025
The Japanese Lifesaving Association (JLA), based in Minato, Tokyo, proudly announces that the Japanese Lifesaving team has secured its place in the lifesaving category for The World Games 2025, scheduled for August in Chengdu, China. The team participated in a send-off ceremony at Japan Sport Olympic Square in Shinjuku, celebrating their commitment and readiness for the upcoming games.
Ceremony Highlights
During the ceremony, Toshi Nishiyama from Chigasaki SLSC represented the Japanese delegation, delivering an athletes' oath. This will mark Nishiyama's third time competing in this prestigious event. Moreover, he expressed the team's excitement as they prepare to carry out the duties of the male flag bearer during the opening ceremony on August 7.

The send-off ceremony offered representatives, coaches, and athletes a platform to express their enthusiasm and share insights about their respective sports.
