As we approach the milestone of our 20th anniversary, 'ao', a beloved brand specializing in gauze clothing, is excited to announce a special POPUP event in Daikanyama, Tokyo, from December 11 to December 14, 2025. Founded in April 2005 by CEO Masaki Igarashi and based in Itoigawa, Niigata Prefecture, 'ao' has been dedicated to exploring the potential and comfort offered by gauze fabric.

Over these years, we've prioritized creating garments that provide a soft touch and a comfortable fit, making our clothing a favorite among many. This exhibition not only showcases the dedication to quality and design but also pays homage to the creative collaborations that have supported 'ao' throughout its journey.

Event Highlights

The POPUP event will feature an array of exciting displays and collaborative projects created with talented artists who have been instrumental in our success. Attendees will have the chance to experience new products and special items derived from our partnerships:

1. Styling & Collaboration Item
Special collaborations with stylist Misa Tannai will be showcased, featuring her curated items and styling displays. Participants can expect a unique glimpse into the new charm and styling possibilities of gauze clothing, including Misa's personally styled pieces for the 2025 Autumn/Winter collection.

2. 20th Anniversary Art & Goods
Renowned illustrator Izumi Shiokawa will showcase her newly illustrated logo for the 20th anniversary alongside exclusive goods, including T-shirts and collectible items. These creations capture the spirit of 'ao', bringing together fashion and art in celebration of two decades.

3. Space Decoration & Florals
The event will be adorned by floral artist Chajin, featuring exquisite hydrangea motifs in holiday decorations and wreaths. These arrangements blend nostalgia and newness, creating an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of 'ao's earlier days in Daikanyama.

4. Special Sweets
Sweeten your visit with delightful treats from Romi-Unie Confiture, a celebrated confectionary brand renowned for its fruit-centric jams. Their Christmas-themed gifts will add a tasty note to the festive celebration.
