Introducing Tablì: Lavazza's Revolutionary 100% Coffee Experience at Milan Design Week 2025

Lavazza Revolutionizes Coffee with Tablì at Milan Design Week 2025

At the prestigious Milan Design Week 2025, Lavazza unveiled Tablì, an innovative coffee experience crafted solely from 100% coffee. This groundbreaking product was showcased through the Source of Pleasure installation, designed by the renowned Brazilian architect and designer Juliana Lima Vasconcellos. Celebrating 130 years of Lavazza's heritage, Tablì represents a significant leap forward for the company and the entire coffee industry.

Tablì consists of a unique 100% coffee tab alongside a specially designed machine, unveiling a new era in coffee consumption. This latest offering highlights the company’s commitment to continuous innovation and excellence in the market. According to Carlo Colpo, Director of Marketing Communication at Lavazza, this innovation culminates from five years of extensive research and over 15 patents, establishing it as a potential game-changer in single-serve coffee options.

The Source of Pleasure installation, where the new product was unveiled, ran from April 6 to 13, 2025, in the atmospheric courtyard of Palazzo del Senato. This immersive experience seamlessly blends Lavazza's rich history with its ambitious vision for the future of coffee. The installation invites visitors to step into a world that celebrates coffee not merely as a beverage but as a ritual and source of joy, resonating with the personal ties many have with coffee culture.

Juliana Lima Vasconcellos explained her vision behind the design, emphasizing the need to create a space that enhances the sensory experience of coffee. The installation’s circular shape symbolizes introspection and wholeness, immersing guests in a multi-sensory journey that awakens every sense. The structural design unfolds in three parts: an enveloping tunnel, a fountain room celebrating the life-giving essence of coffee, and a bright Coffee Experience lounge that showcases the essence of Tablì.

The entrance to the installation piques curiosity, drawing visitors through a dynamic tunnel that heightens their anticipation while engaging their senses—aroma, sound, and texture mingle to create an unforgettable experience. A sculptural fountain flowing with water not only serves as an artistic tribute to the natural resources central to coffee but also infuses the atmosphere with freshness and energy.

As one moves toward the Coffee Experience segment, the decor shifts to light, soothing colors, inviting exploration and reflection on Lavazza's latest product. The installation serves as a testament to Lavazza's dedication to excellence since its inception in Turin in 1895.

With an annual turnover exceeding €3.3 billion and operations in over 140 markets, Lavazza has established itself as a leader in the global coffee sector. As the company marks its 130th anniversary, Tablì symbolizes not just a product launch but a commitment to enhancing coffee culture universally. Lavazza’s journey began with a simple espresso, and now the company aims to further elevate coffee as an experience rooted in quality and care.

The Tablì system emphasizes Lavazza's ongoing efforts to lead with innovation while emphasizing social and environmental responsibility, upholding the mission of “Awakening a better world every morning.”

Lavazza continues to craft ways to improve coffee enjoyment, driven by a desire to engage consumers and enhance their daily rituals. The introduction of Tablì is not merely about coffee; it represents a lifestyle change that aligns with modern consumers' values and aspirations. In unveiling Tablì at Milan Design Week, Lavazza invites everyone to join them on this enlightening journey into the future of coffee, marking a new standard in single-serve offerings.
