ICP DAS-BMP Showcases Innovations at WHX Dubai 2026
Hsinchu, January 27, 2026 – ICP DAS-BMP (Biomedical Polymers), a Taiwanese manufacturer specializing in medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), is thrilled to announce its participation in WHX Dubai 2026, also known as Arab Health. This premier event is scheduled to take place from February 9 to 12 at the Dubai Exhibition Center, inviting visitors to connect with the ICP DAS-BMP team at booth S7C117.
## Featured Innovations
This year's exhibition spotlights two groundbreaking TPU innovations tailored to meet critical needs in medical device manufacturing: the low-migration TPU and the low-friction TPU.
Low-Migration TPU
One of the highlights is the
Arothane™ ARP-B20, a low-migration TPU that adheres to the ISO 10993 standard. This material is suitable for implantation periods of up to 90 days. Its formulation minimizes the migration of additives during processing, allowing catheters to maintain smooth surfaces throughout their storage durations. This TPU offers a range of color options, enabling flexible and customized design possibilities.
Low-Friction TPU
Additionally, the low-friction TPU is engineered with an intrinsically smooth surface, eliminating the need for extra coatings or post-processing. Entirely composed of TPU and free from PFAS or plasticizers, this material ensures long-term stability without surface exudation or additive migration. Its low-friction characteristics make it ideal for applications that require gentle insertion, such as nasogastric tubes with guidewires, while maintaining safety and performance during storage and usage.
### Expanded TPU Portfolio
ICP DAS-BMP is also showcasing a comprehensive range of TPU options that cater to various medical applications. The
ARP,
ALP, and
ALC series are aligned with limited-contact (less than 24 hours), extended-contact (24 hours to 30 days), and long-term (more than 30 days) classifications according to ISO 10993-1. For radiopaque applications, the
ARP-B20 and
ALC-B40 products (qualified for a 90-day implantation) along with the
ARP-W/WG series (40-60% tungsten) enhance visibility for invasive or implantable devices. Moreover, the
Engineering Arothane™ EARP series, noted for its clarity and mechanical strength, is particularly suitable for orthodontic components, Luer-Lock connectors, and other precision medical devices.
Commitment to Healthcare Solutions
These innovations reflect ICP DAS-BMP’s commitment to providing safer, more reliable, and versatile TPU solutions, aiming to support medical device manufacturers in meeting the evolving demands of healthcare.
