Its formulation minimizes the migration of additives during processing, allowing catheters to maintain smooth surfaces throughout their storage durations. Low-Friction TPU

Additionally, the low-friction TPU is engineered with an intrinsically smooth surface, eliminating the need for extra coatings or post-processing. Entirely composed of TPU and free from PFAS or plasticizers, this material ensures long-term stability without surface exudation or additive migration. Its low-friction characteristics make it ideal for applications that require gentle insertion, such as nasogastric tubes with guidewires, while maintaining safety and performance during storage and usage.

ICP DAS-BMP is also showcasing a comprehensive range of TPU options that cater to various medical applications. The ARP, ALP, and ALC series are aligned with limited-contact (less than 24 hours), extended-contact (24 hours to 30 days), and long-term (more than 30 days) classifications according to ISO 10993-1. For radiopaque applications, the ARP-B20 and ALC-B40 products (qualified for a 90-day implantation) along with the ARP-W/WG series (40-60% tungsten) enhance visibility for invasive or implantable devices. Moreover, the Engineering Arothane™ EARP series, noted for its clarity and mechanical strength, is particularly suitable for orthodontic components, Luer-Lock connectors, and other precision medical devices.
