Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Festival 2025

The Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Festival, one of Japan's largest cosplay events, is set to light up the Tokyo area from October 24 to 26, 2025. The event is organized by the Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Festival Executive Committee, with participation from prominent companies including Dwango Corporation, Toshima City, Sunshine City, Animate, and Hakosta. They just announced exciting new plans for the festival, along with ticket sales beginning on September 5, 2025, at 5 PM.

Main Stage Activities

The main stage, located in Nakabukuro Park, will feature thrilling events including the "Niconico Cosplay Collection," where cosplayers can showcase their outfits on a runway, and "Halloween with Families," which invites children and parents to join the fun. A brand-new segment titled "Welcome New Cosplayers!" will showcase couples brought together through cosplay.

Ikebukuro Halloween Night (Ike Halo Night)

New to this year's festivities is the "Ike Halo Night," which expands its venues to include the underground parking area, allowing for various photo shoots and networking events. Continuing from last year, the exhibition hall will host games such as rock-paper-scissors, karaoke contests, and arm-wrestling competitions. Attendees can also enjoy dedicated photo backgrounds and relaxation areas.

Cosplay Parade 2025

On October 25, a grand parade will transform Ikebukuro's main street into a pedestrian zone, where approximately 400 cosplayers will dauntlessly walk through the city. More details about participation will be announced shortly.

In cooperation with Canon Marketing Japan, attendees can enjoy shooting popular cosplayers with the latest cameras and lenses. Junior-Senior Teenage DJ Tickets are exclusive to middle and high schoolers.
Residents of Toshima City eligible for proof can participate for free.
