FIC Global Inc. Unveils New Manufacturing Facility in Johor, Enhancing Regional Operations

Grand Opening of the FIC Global Manufacturing Facility

On October 15, 2026, FIC Global Inc., a technology enterprise listed in Taiwan, celebrated the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia, through its subsidiary PRO3C (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. The event marked a significant milestone in FIC Global's strategy to enhance its operational footprint in Southeast Asia and respond to the growing global demand in sectors including artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and semiconductor technology. The opening ceremony was officiated by Lee Ting Han, Johor State Executive Councillor, and was attended by notable government officials, industry partners, and valued customers.

The Johor plant is part of FIC Global's Johor–Singapore Twinning Strategy, which aims to establish a complementary operational model between its Malaysian manufacturing site and an upcoming Innovation and Supply Chain Centre in Singapore. This strategic initiative intends to boost collaboration across borders, optimize supply chain management, and enhance customer engagement on a global scale.

The manufacturing facility commenced production at the end of 2025 and began mass production in the first quarter of 2026. With current operations involving eight surface-mount technology (SMT) lines, the plant promises to ramp up production capacity based on market demands and customer orders.

FIC Global’s advanced technology portfolio is notable for its capabilities in high-speed optical transceivers, which are critical for supporting large-scale AI infrastructures and enabling rapid data transmissions. Products such as Flip Chip optical transceivers, Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), and Silicon Photonics (SiPh) are among the cutting-edge technologies being developed at the Johor site.

According to Mr. Leo Chien, Chairman of FIC Global Inc., the grand opening symbolizes not just the inauguration of a factory but the activation of a crucial node in a cross-border economic platform, enhancing value creation for local communities, job opportunities, and national development. He emphasized that modern competitiveness hinges on seamlessly linking manufacturing operations, supply chains, and innovation resources while catering to international clientele.

The establishment of this manufacturing capability in Johor is expected to facilitate local supplier partnerships, bolster talent development in the region, and enhance supply chain integration, thereby solidifying Johor’s standing within the advanced manufacturing ecosystem of Southeast Asia. Over time, FIC Global anticipates that its Malaysian and Singaporean operations may collectively support a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees, contingent on operational needs and market conditions.

In July 2026, at the ASEAN Conference in Singapore, PRO3C signed a memorandum of understanding with AME Elite Consortium Berhad, while FIC Global entered a separate agreement with JTC Corporation. UOB, through its cross-border banking services, aims to support FIC Global’s regional expansion into Malaysia and Singapore.
