Japan's First Mobile Digital Signage Advertising Project by Kappa Sushi
Kappa Create, known for its Kappa Sushi franchise, has partnered with Essen to advance digital signage in outdoor advertising, and is launching a unique initiative in Akihabara, a city beloved by visitors worldwide. This partnership revolves around a next-generation mobile advertising platform named 'WithDrive.'
Innovative Advertising Solution
From October 1 to October 7, 2025, Kappa Sushi will utilize large digital signage on vehicles that traverse the vibrant streets of Akihabara. This is Japan's first project where moving cars will serve as dynamic advertising pillars. The experiment allows customers to photograph a special '¥100 off' promotional sign displayed on the moving ad vehicle. If they present the picture at the Kappa Sushi Akihabara Manseibashi Store, they can enjoy the discount, blending cutting-edge technology with an enjoyable dining experience.
Kappa Sushi aims to make dining occasions even more delightful, pledging to create memorable experiences for its customers.

Flexible Advertising Delivery: Leveraging the mobility of cars, advertisements can be delivered flexibly to specific areas and facilities, providing dynamic ad options that traditional fixed signage cannot match.
2.
Dynamic Creative Management: Ads can be adjusted in real-time based on circumstances such as time of day, weather, and surrounding events, optimizing ad effectiveness.
3.
Patent-Pending Technology: Essen’s approach does not settle for mere impression counts; they utilize patented technology to quantify advertising value by combining local advertising value with vehicle traffic data. This supports the accurate measurement of advertising effects.
