The global phenomenon, "OUTERPLANE," a strategic RPG developed by VAGAMES, has recently completed its highly successful global tour, marked by engaging offline events in Japan and South Korea. The tour, organized by MAJOR9, aimed to foster closer relationships with the user community through a series of direct interactions that go beyond typical promotional events.
The first event took place on January 17, 2026, in Seoul, South Korea, featuring a unique user dialogue session. The event was hosted by the voice actor of the game’s character Akari, Ban Siu, who energized the audience. A celebratory performance by artist Moong myang further added excitement. Attendees were treated to exclusive previews of new characters and a roadmap for 2026, presented directly by the development team, who also took questions from the audience in a thorough Q&A session. This event wasn’t just a spectacle; it allowed users to engage with the developers and voice their suggestions in an open networking session following the main event.
The first stop's success paved the way for the second event on February 21, 2026, in Osaka, Japan, a crucial market for OUTERPLANE, boasting the second-largest user base after Korea. Here, renowned voice actor Mikako Izawa, known for her role as the beloved character Maxie, acted as the MC. The atmosphere was electric as she connected with fans and fostered an immersive experience. Developers actively participated by stepping down from the stage to gather firsthand feedback on user experiences and improvement suggestions, creating a more intimate setting for interaction.
Completing the Japanese leg of the tour, the third event unfolded on February 28 in Shinjuku, Tokyo, serving as a grand finale that drew an enthusiastic crowd. Partner cosplayers animatedly presented character costumes, highlighting the event's focus on community engagement. Additionally, there were special programs revealing behind-the-scenes insights into game development based on user data and teasers of future storylines, capturing the attention of many participants.
Throughout all three events, attendees received special item coupons and exclusive merchandise, while the core program featured dedicated Q&A sessions with the development team. Developers shared their plans to enhance gameplay fatigue mitigation, sustain long-term engagement, improve storylines and visuals, and expand PvE content. They also highlighted efforts to prioritize user feedback in real-time, reinforcing the commitment to a participatory approach to service development.
Mr. Lee Do-Arm, head of MAJOR9, commented, "The global tour begins with Seoul, followed by Osaka and Tokyo, which provided a significant opportunity to share the game’s present and future with users. Engaging directly with local communities was invaluable, and we aim to expand these interactions in the future."
Hyun Moonsu, a PD from VAGAMES, echoed this, expressing, "The dialogue session allowed us to understand local users’ perspectives up close, which is immensely meaningful. We are committed to incorporating valuable feedback into our development strategies to showcase an evolving OUTERPLANE at its third-anniversary launch."
Having completed these first three events successfully, OUTERPLANE is gearing up for more global offline communication efforts. The team also announced participation in the Comic World event to be held in Ilsan, South Korea, on March 14 and 15, 2026.
