Colón holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, obtained in 1997. To further his education, he earned a Master’s degree in Engineering Management in 2000, followed by a Master of Science in Manufacturing Competitiveness in 2010. This academic foundation enhances his technical capabilities, allowing him to provide clients with comprehensive support across various sectors including pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

His expertise transcends traditional quality assurance roles, as he has successfully led numerous initiatives involving Quality Assurance Management, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and remediation activities. Notably, Colón's leadership was paramount in transforming clinical sites into commercial facilities, achieving the first Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification and FDA approval for commercial cell and gene therapy products in the USA.

Among his significant accomplishments is the effective management of a client's response to FDA observations related to compliance issues. His meticulous approach identified and resolved problems promptly, contributing to the client's successful operations in highly regulated markets. Furthermore, Colón's advisory role to a vaccine manufacturer in Mexico demonstrated his profound understanding of regulatory intricacies, which played a crucial part in ensuring the success of their last production campaign, particularly in identifying and rectifying process gaps.

Colón's career has also included extensive international experience, collaborating with pharmaceutical companies across Japan, Brazil, Iceland, China, Korea, India, Serbia, and the United States. His global perspective enhances his ability to advocate for best practices in diverse environments, solidifying his reputation in the industry.

Besides his professional achievements, Colón is a family man and passionate dog lover, caring for twelve dogs at home.
