User-Friendly Diapers for the Busy Caregiving Environment
As Japan navigates its super-aged society, the demand for caregivers is projected to reach a critical shortfall of about 570,000 by 2040. This shortage not only increases the burden on existing staff but also limits their access to essential information regarding hygiene care, particularly for those dealing with incontinence. In response to this pressing issue, Daiwa Paper, operating under the popular Elleair brand, is launching its innovative adult diaper brand, Attento, along with a unique and engaging four-panel manga guide. This initiative aims to simplify the usage of three newly developed academic collaboration products tailored for caregivers, all set to be available on the official Attento website on July 8, 2026.
Addressing the Caregiver's Needs
Daiwa Paper has long been committed to supporting caregivers and their clients. The company recognizes the challenges faced by these professionals — from managing patients with incontinence to ensuring comfort and dignity. Their guiding principle, “Kaigo no Kaigo-ka” or “Caregiver Comfort,” strives to provide caregivers and their clients with solutions that promote safe and comfortable hygiene care. Through seminars and collaborative product development, Attento aims to alleviate the burden on healthcare staff.
The new manga guide leverages the popularity of graphic storytelling, especially among Generation Z and other demographics, to communicate complex information in an easily digestible format. By doing so, Attento hopes to inspire caregivers to engage positively with their work and assist clients in selecting the most suitable products for their unique needs.
