Discovering Life on Land: Field Trip Plus
The Global Learner’s Institute (GLI) is thrilled to announce the opening of its popular program "Field Trip Plus" this fall, scheduled for September 28 and October 19, 2025. This time, we're embarking on an exciting first with a two-month consecutive exploration of the same theme: SDG Goal 15, "Life on Land."
This educational journey aims to examine the symbiotic relationship between animals, plants, forests, and humans through engaging real-life experiences.
Program Highlights:
Two-Part Series to Deepen Learning!
The first session on September 28 will be held at
Anitouch Tokyo Dome City, where participants will learn about animal stress behaviors and natural behaviors. Following this, on October 19, the second session will take place at the
Takaosan 599 Museum, focusing on nature conservation and ecosystems.
Considering Biodiversity!
During these workshops, participants will contemplate essential questions such as, "Why are forests and indigenous species important?" and "What impact do human choices have on nature?" This reflective thinking is crucial in understanding our role in preserving our planet.
Enhancing Practical English Skills
Participants will conduct interviews in English during the field trips, culminating in a presentation at the end. The program intends to nurture both exploratory and English proficiency skills simultaneously.
Learning Steps: A Unique Experiential Approach by GLI
1.
Pre-Learning: Participants will learn foundational knowledge related to the theme along with relevant English vocabulary, and practice interview scenarios.
2.
On-Site Experience: Through exhibitions and hands-on activities, participants will gain insights into the significance of biodiversity and forests while engaging with experts.
3.
Interviews: Participants will have the opportunity to interview locals or staff in English, collecting diverse perspectives that will enhance their learning experience.
4.
Practical Application and Expression: Finally, participants will present what they have learned in English and engage in problem-solving activities related to environmental issues.
