BODYBAR Pilates Hosts Historic Record-Breaking Reformer Class to Celebrate Pilates Centennial

BODYBAR Pilates Sets New Benchmark

In a monumental celebration, BODYBAR Pilates has achieved a historic milestone by conducting the largest reformer Pilates class in the United States. On September 13, 2026, the event took place in Frisco, Texas, marking not just the 100th anniversary of the Pilates method but also the grand opening of BODYBAR's 100th studio.

The event witnessed 100 enthusiastic participants each utilizing their own reformer, coming together for a 50-minute class filled with energy and camaraderie. This unique gathering was particularly significant as it raised $10,000 for the Foundation for Women's Cancer, contributing $100 for each reformer utilized, all while promoting gynecologic cancer awareness in the light of September's awareness month.

During the event, participants were guided by Kamille McCollum, BODYBAR's Chief Brand Officer and Co-Founder, alongside a dedicated team of instructors. “We aimed to celebrate the centennial of Pilates and our own 100th studio opening in a fun and meaningful way. This event surpassed all our expectations,” exclaimed McCollum, reflecting on the significance of bringing 100 individuals together.

The record-breaking class was part of BODYBAR’s annual conference held at the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star, attended by franchise owners and instructors from across the nation. McCollum continued, “This event is a testament to the journey both Pilates and BODYBAR have made over the years and the incredible communities that have flourished both locally and nationally.”

This incredible event came just days after BODYBAR opened its 100th studio in North Fort Worth, Texas, where the franchise originated. It symbolizes a significant step forward in BODYBAR's ongoing expansion across the country. Continuing from the rich legacy of Joseph and Clara Pilates, who launched their first studio in New York City in 1926, BODYBAR's initiative was a fitting tribute as they pay homage to the method’s century-long tradition.

The success of this assembly was made possible through the generosity of various partners, with Balanced Body®, Inc. providing the reformers. Additional support came from McCollister's for logistics, Pilabarre as the official grip sock sponsor, FitRadio supplying entertainment with DJ Stacie Hawk Carroll, and TAVI donating custom “100” monogrammed grip socks to each participant.

Documentation was meticulously compiled to meet the rigorous standards established by formal record-keeping organizations, with participant counts, photographs, and video footage all available for verification.
