Capital Tokyo International School Winter School 2025

From December 22nd to 26th, 2025, Capital Tokyo International School (CTIS) is excited to announce its Winter School program, welcoming not only students from CTIS but also children from outside the school, specifically from grades 1 to 4. Held at the beautiful Minami Azabu campus, this five-day program offers an array of engaging activities designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Learning Through English

The Winter School curriculum is structured around various enjoyable and effective learning methods, including Problem-Based Learning (PBL), design challenges, and collaborative games to nurture essential skills for future success. Participants will be immersed in an all-English environment, where they'll have the chance to work with peers and instructors in fun, interactive lessons.

Lesson Highlights

Here's an overview of the planned activities:

PBL - Visions of the Future
Children will explore technological advancements and imagine future possibilities, discussing innovations like mobile phones, laptops, and AI. The program culminates in a presentation of their unique visions for the future, giving them a platform to express their creativity.

Winter Critters Arts & Crafts
This fun, hands-on session will allow students to create charming winter-themed crafts, including snowmen and penguins. Through these projects, they will also learn interesting facts about winter animals and seasonal traditions.

Collaborative Play & Wrap-Up
Kids will engage in team-building games like tower construction and ball balancing to strengthen their teamwork and communication skills. After the playful activities, there will be a reflection period where participants can share what they enjoyed and learned throughout the day, ensuring a calm conclusion to their busy schedule.

After School Opportunities

During the Winter School period, external students can also join the After School program starting at 2:30 PM (additional fees apply). This program focuses on social English, using kids' news articles and storytelling to keep children engaged and improve their language skills.
