The Nutritional Sciences and Food Development departments of Jumonji Gakuen Women's University, located in Niiza, Saitama Prefecture, are set to participate in the renowned food exhibition, ifia/HFE JAPAN 2026, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from May 27 to 29. The university has collaborated with Seishin Corporation on this project, creating original recipes that will be displayed and sampled during the event.
The students have developed ingredients using Japanese bamboo charcoal powder, fermented roasted 16-grain powder, and mulberry leaf powder, focusing on aesthetics, taste, and nutritional balance. Leading up to the exhibition, they held tasting events to refine their products based on feedback from industry professionals and participants. This practical learning experience underscores the university's commitment to fostering skilled individuals capable of thriving in the fields of food development and nutrition.
The collaboration has allowed students to explore the potential of food and the exciting prospects of product development, providing them with a meaningful opportunity to connect their learning to the wider community.
