EhonNavi's Successful Crowdfunding Journey
EhonNavi, the company behind the popular children’s book resource and e-commerce site in Japan, recently made headlines with its ambitious crowdfunding initiative to donate quality children's books and bookshelves to children's support facilities. The project's primary aim is to enhance the experiences of both adults and children, allowing them to spend enriching time together and giving kids the chance to explore new ideas and worlds through literature.
The initiative, titled "Kodomo Ehon Danna Project," focuses on connecting necessary children’s books with various facilities seeking support and the organizations, individuals, and companies that want to contribute. The company’s overarching mission is to increase “happy times” through literary engagement.
Achieving the First Goal
On July 4, 2025, EhonNavi launched its crowdfunding campaign with an initial target of 200,000 yen (around $1,800), with the first goal being 100,000 yen (around $900). The response was overwhelming, and EhonNavi proudly announced that it reached this milestone successfully, securing funds to deliver books and bookshelves to its first selected recipient—the “Gutto, Atto Tsurumi” after-school day service in Yokohama, Kanagawa.
This program aims to create a safe space for children with disabilities and developmental characteristics, and EhonNavi is honored to facilitate the delivery of these vital resources. This milestone would not have been possible without the generous contributions from the supporters.
Expanding to Reach More Children
EhonNavi isn't stopping here. With the first goal achieved, they've set their sights on a new target: raise an additional 100,000 yen to support another facility. By funding this next goal, EhonNavi could provide another donation, bringing the rewarding experience of literature to a wider audience of children in need.

Crowdfunding Details
The crowdfunding campaign will run from July 4 through August 8, 2025, on the platform Readyfor. The innovative “All or Nothing” format means that if the project falls short of the goal, backers will receive a full refund, ensuring that contributions are directly tied to successful funding.
Additionally, this project aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing notably on quality education and inclusivity. EhonNavi aims to provide children, regardless of their home environments, access to quality picture books in safe and supportive locations, thus enriching their learning experiences.
