Women may feel obligated to conform to established norms, losing sight of their own business aspirations. This tension creates barriers to personal expression and decision-making in their roles.

To combat these issues systematically, the program will collaborate with Shoko Chukin Bank to host a closed networking event on July 3, 2026. The gathering aims to provide women entrepreneurs and successors a rare opportunity to connect and share experiences, breaking down isolation and fostering collaboration.

Consider the case of a third-generation female successor who holds a board position in the family business. Although she faces no significant obstacles regarding ownership structure, critical decisions are typically made by her father and uncle, leaving her with vague responsibilities. The challenge lies in navigating this ambiguous situation, revealing the common struggles experienced by women leaders in similar positions.

The inaugural session will feature a special guest, Chisato Mitani, President of ShinEi Trading Co., who will share her journey of unexpectedly stepping into a leadership role. Mitani will discuss the pressures of living up to her father's legacy while balancing life as a mother of three. Her story highlights the transformative moment when she learned to trust and delegate work to her team.
