An Exciting Family Adventure: Tuk-Tuk Journey Across Japan
In a world where conventional education doesn't fit every child's needs, the NIJIN Academy is making waves by providing
alternative schooling. The academy offers a nurturing environment for children who find it hard to attend regular schools, ensuring they can shine in their own unique ways.
As part of its festival activities, NIJIN Academy is hosting a special class featuring Tomoko Kimura, affectionately known as "Okaa" (Mother). This engaging session will take place at the NIJIN Academy Take-not-suka school and its metaverse campus on
October 7, 2025. Tomoko’s experiences traveling around Japan in a tuk-tuk with her family offer valuable insights into learning opportunities outside traditional classrooms.
Background of the Event
This event aims to inspire families and children to explore education beyond the conventional framework. NIJIN Academy is committed to providing enriching educational experiences, and Tomoko's journey exemplifies the power of learning from diverse experiences. Her adventures show that profound learning can occur beyond textbooks and classrooms, focusing instead on real-world experiences.
Tomoko's family has experienced what it’s like to be a family of three living as nomads, often setting up tents, and occasionally facing the challenges of staying safely through various Japanese festivals, helping out in inns, and even camping in the wilderness despite encounters with bears. By sharing these adventures, she hopes to provide insights for families who face challenges similar to those they have navigated.
