The Mission of Shangri-La

ChangAn’s Shangri-La initiative focuses on new energy vehicles (NEVs), with ongoing rapid development aimed at meeting diverse customer needs worldwide. The company has established three distinct brands: AVATR, DEEPAL, and CHANG-AN, under which it has launched 22 new energy models. This initiative features over 400 advancements in core technologies related to batteries, motors, and electric control—termed the "three-electrics."

One of the standout innovations is the Golden Shield Battery, which allows rapid 5C charging, reducing recharge times significantly. With advancements like the New BlueCore 3.0 integrated powertrain, ChangAn is leading in technology that promises extended range options. Furthermore, its dual-motor electric drive system offers seamless transitions between hybrid and range-extender modes, making NEVs more user-friendly.

Partnering with CATL for solid-state battery development and battery recycling also enhances ChangAn’s ecosystem within the electric vehicle landscape.

The Dubhe 2.0 Plan

The Dubhe 2.0 Plan highlights ChangAn's emphasis on intelligence, showcasing a robust research and development team of 5,000. Remarkably, by 2020, every model in their lineup was connected digitally, enabling the deployment of over 20 advanced technologies. Features such as the Intelligent TS Drive for assisted driving, the Intelligent TY Cockpit, and the Intelligent TH Chassis have been integrated into their vehicles.

This plan is built upon the CHANG-AN SDA platform, expanding capabilities to include cutting-edge safety technologies. For instance, features that provide collision avoidance in poor visibility situations exemplify ChangAn’s commitment to not just innovation, but also to safety in intelligent vehicle operation.

The Vast Ocean Plan

On an international scale, the Vast Ocean Plan has propelled ChangAn's presence beyond its home market, achieving international vehicle sales exceeding 536,000 units in 2024. This remarkable growth has secured its position among the top three brands in the automotive industry. Expansion efforts include the establishment of six subsidiaries in countries such as Thailand, Mexico, and Germany, along with setting up nine KD factories.

The company's commitment to globalization includes its new energy vehicle manufacturing base in Thailand, which is set to start production soon. Since launching the Vast Ocean Plan in 2023, ChangAn has hosted 22 regional branding conferences and has entered 11 new markets, strengthening its presence with over 9,000 sales channels worldwide.
