Context and Importance of the Symposium
In recent years, a range of corporate scandals and social issues have highlighted the significance of effective whistleblowing systems. Furthermore, the current discussions in the Diet around amending the Whistleblower Protection Act are expected to increase the relevance of such systems even further. As a provider of internal whistleblowing services, DQ Group perceives both strengths and weaknesses within the current frameworks, which we bring into focus through this symposium.
By facilitating this event, we aim to encourage compliance officers and legal representatives to explore practical challenges and possibilities linked to the operation of whistleblower systems.
This initiative draws support from ACFE JAPAN, the Japanese branch of the global organization dedicated to combating fraud, which boasts over 91,000 members across 200 branches worldwide. With 20 years of experience, ACFE JAPAN brings expert insights on fraud prevention and discovery to the discussion. Their involvement will contribute to a more robust and multi-faceted approach to risk management relative to whistleblowing.
