BOA Steakhouse Expands to Mexico City
In an exciting development for culinary enthusiasts, BOA Steakhouse has officially launched its first location in Mexico City, situated in the bustling neighborhood of Polanco on Goldsmith Street. This opening marks a pivotal moment in the Innovative Dining Group's (IDG) strategy to grow its presence in the international dining scene.
A Vision of Growth
Since launching its inaugural restaurant in West Hollywood in 2001, BOA Steakhouse has gained a strong reputation for its emphasis on high-quality ingredients and innovative dishes. The new Mexico City outlet is a manifestation of IDG's commitment to reaching out to vibrant culinary markets. In recent years, BOA has successfully opened additional locations in various cities across the U.S., including Austin, Las Vegas, and Napa, showcasing the brand's expanding footprint.
Lee Maen, the Founder and CEO of IDG, expressed his deep emotional connection to Mexico, stating, "Bringing BOA to Mexico City is profoundly meaningful for me personally and professionally. The city's dynamic culinary landscape and its culture of shared meals align perfectly with what we aim to deliver at BOA." By situating itself amongst Mexico's rich gastronomic heritage, BOA intends to create spaces where people can forge connections and share experiences over exceptional meals.
Culinary Excellence at the Heart of BOA
The new Mexico City location is helmed by Executive Chef Brendan Collins, whose culinary style draws inspiration from California cuisine. Collins is no stranger to fine dining, having worked in Michelin-starred restaurants across London and at celebrated establishments in Los Angeles, such as Waterloo City and Market Tavern. The menu boasts an impressive array of steaks sourced from premium suppliers like Creekstone Farms and Australian Wagyu from Westholme. Diners can indulge in large-format cuts ideal for sharing, including the impressive Tomahawk and Brooklyn-Style Porterhouse, as well as other delectable options like a 15-Day Dry-Aged Bone-In Ribeye.
Among the star offerings is a Japanese A5 Wagyu flight, which invites diners to explore the unique flavors from three different prefectures in Japan: Miyazaki, Iwate, and Hokkaido. This tasting menu is designed to showcase the distinct profiles of each cut, demonstrating the sophistication that BOA Steakhouse brings to its patrons.
For sides, guests can choose from favorites like the Loaded Baked Potato, Mac and Cheese, and Mashed Potatoes, with delicious options to elevate them further by adding truffle or lobster.
Unique Flavors from Mexico
The menu also embraces local influences, with specialty dishes that blend BOA's signature style with Mexican flavors. Some highlights include Josper-Grilled Striped Bass served in a Baja taco format, a Wagyu Gordita accompanied by black lime and avocado, and Lobster Fra Diavolo, showcasing house-made spaghetti enriched with San Marzano tomatoes.
Drinks that Dazzle
The cocktails at BOA Mexico City aim to impress as much as the food. The signature drink lineup features exciting options such as the Smoke Show, incorporating Wild Turkey Rye whiskey, and the refreshing Jade Spritz made with espadín mezcal. A reinterpretation of the classic Espresso Martini and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages crafted with fresh fruit ensure that there’s something for everyone.
The Dining Experience
With its opening, BOA Steakhouse establishes itself as a prime dining destination in Mexico City, where guests can enjoy expertly prepared dishes in an inviting and lively atmosphere. The restaurant embodies the ideal gathering place designed for sharing, conversation, and celebration.
Located at Goldsmith 66, Polanco III Sección, Miguel Hidalgo, the new BOA will open its doors Sunday to Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., offering lunch and dinner services. Reservations can be made via their website, helping fans of exceptional steakhouses ensure their chance to experience this exciting new addition to the culinary landscape of Mexico City.
