About Professor Hisashi Yamada

Hisashi Yamada was born in 1963 in Osaka. After graduating from Kyoto University with a degree in Economics, he joined Sumitomo Bank (now Mitsui Sumitomo Bank) in 1987. Yamada has held various research positions, including stints at the Japan Economic Research Center and the Japan Research Institute, where he served as Deputy Director. He became a professor at Hosei University in 2023, specializing in innovation management.
