Devexperts Welcomes Rainer Fuchsluger as the New Global Group CEO

In a strategic move aimed at boosting international growth and enhancing its product portfolio, Devexperts has appointed Rainer Fuchsluger as its new Global Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. This announcement comes as the company nears its 25th anniversary in 2027 and signifies a pivotal moment for the firm as it seeks to extend its reach in the financial technology sector.

Devexperts, a privately held global financial technology company, is renowned for providing core solutions used by over 20 million traders across the globe daily. With more than 800 employees stationed in ten offices worldwide, the organization boasts deep technical expertise in capital markets and has serviced hundreds of clients internationally. Fuchsluger’s main objective will be to expand the company's value chain across the entire investment and trade lifecycle. Emphasizing innovative technologies like cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI), he plans to deliver even greater value to clients.

This leadership change follows the departure of the previous CEO, Ben Hurley, who spent over four years with Devexperts, including the last two years at the helm. Hurley's contributions have been acknowledged by the founder of Devexperts, Michael Babushkin, who stated, “Ben's leadership and commitment over the past four years have been invaluable, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Fuchsluger's extensive global leadership experience comprises more than 25 years in financial software, market data, and exchange technology arenas. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles at prestigious organizations such as the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), Wolters Kluwer, SSC, and Thomson Reuters. His insights from serving on Wolters Kluwer's Global Sustainability Governance Board are expected to guide Devexperts as it advances its commitment to sustainability within the financial technology landscape.

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining Devexperts, Fuchsluger remarked, “Devexperts has created something truly remarkable over the past 25 years by blending deep capital market expertise with advanced technology. I am grateful to Michael and the Board for their trust in my abilities and I’m eager to leverage our achievements to pursue future opportunities.”

Under Fuchsluger’s leadership, the team plans to further capitalize on its existing strengths. Notably, AI is already integrated into over half of the company's software development pipeline, and this is set to accelerate product development significantly. “The capital markets are rapidly evolving, and there is an increasing demand for reliable data and analytics, resilient market infrastructure, and the swift adoption of cloud computing and AI technologies,” he added.

Fuchsluger has committed to engaging closely with clients to understand their dynamic needs and ensure that Devexperts’ offerings stay relevant in today's fast-paced market. His approach of combining existing expertise with continued investment in advanced technologies is expected to bolster the company's service offerings, allowing clients to navigate the complexities of financial markets without sacrificing performance or reliability.

Next year, Devexperts will celebrate its 25-year milestone with a global program aimed at recognizing the people, clients, and technologies that have been instrumental to its success, while also outlining a visionary path for the future.
