Indulgent Autumn Menu Features Adorable Korean Ingredients with 'Kumachan Rappokki'

Introducing Kumachan Rappokki: A Seasonal Delight

As the autumn leaves fall and the chill in the air beckons for warm food, Eat-and-International Co., Ltd. has debuted an exciting new dish: the Kumachan Rappokki. This playful and delicious creation combines adorable shapes with delectable flavors, and it's making a splash at the Hokkaido Mankoi Kumachan Onsen in Shibuya, Tokyo.

A Culinary Journey Begins

The Hokkaido Mankoi Kumachan Onsen is not just a one-pot hot pot restaurant but an Instagram sensation that features a bear-shaped pot filled with a broth rich in dietary fibers and collagen. Since opening in Shibuya's Miyamasuzaka area in 2021, the establishment has become a gastronomic hotspot, boasting over 8 million views on social media and always having a month-long wait for reservations.

In October 2024, the restaurant will move to the iconic Shibuya Center Street, striving to become a landmark for both local and international patrons. With an ever-expanding menu that goes beyond solo hot pots to offer photogenic desserts and appetizers, the establishment has truly embraced the mantra of “See it, Love it, Eat it!”

Celebrating One Year with a New Menu

To commemorate its first anniversary at the Shibuya Center Street, the restaurant is thrilled to present the Kumachan Rappokki. This unique dish cleverly combines Korean instant noodles with bear-shaped tteokbokki, allowing guests to enjoy a delightful hot pot experience. Guests can customize their meal by choosing from four delicious sauces at a vibrant sauce bar, including Miso Doubanjiang, Gochujang, Makgeolli Miso, and Spicy Mala.

Each sauce allows guests to mix and match flavors to create their perfect combination. Plus, with the adorable bear-shaped tteokbokki, it's hard to resist ordering more in different poses, truly making this a guilty pleasure with “Triple Carbohydrates”.

Introducing Kumachan Jjigae

In addition to the Kumachan Rappokki, the restaurant will unveil the Kumachan Jjigae to mark their anniversary. This dish stems from the overwhelming requests to create a jjigae that complements the beloved bear-shaped hot pot. The Sundubu-flavored Rose Kumachan was a hit on the restaurant's online store, prompting the chefs to craft a delectable jjigae.

With fragrant spices of chili, lemon, cilantro, spicy mala, and yuzu, this jjigae can also be customized using the sauces from the Rappokki bar. Expect a launch in early November for this cozy bowl that promises to become a new favorite among diners.
