Launch of YAMAGIWA LIGHTING Catalog 2026-2027
On June 1, 2026, YAMAGIWA Inc., renowned for importing and distributing original lighting and furniture brands globally, will unveil its comprehensive lighting catalog titled
YAMAGIWA LIGHTING 2026-2027. This year’s catalog showcases an impressive total of 2,956 items, including 354 new products that push the boundaries of spatial design.
The cover of the catalog continues its collaboration with leading designer Haruka Misawa from the Japan Design Center. In an homage to YAMAGIWA's lighting fixture
SOLO, the cover encapsulates the delicate and twinkling nature of light, reminiscent of the evening star, quietly illuminating spaces from the depths of the surrounding environment.
Design Concept of the Cover
The visual narrative is inspired by the portable light
SOLO, which shapes private spaces through light. The design features a small triangular shade that gracefully emanates light, not upon immediate surroundings but gently further away. This subtle yet certain illumination is portrayed as a singular point of light, akin to a star twinkling in the dusk. This concept represents the duality of personal time and the scenery at twilight.
As a light shines softly beside an open book or flickers distantly atop a hill, it connects two landscapes — 'individual experiences' and 'the beauty of sunset'. As time flows steadily and gently in its presence, it emphasizes the significance of serene moments.
Haruka Misawa, the art director behind the catalog’s design, applies her unique insights to create lighting that influences how we perceive and engage with our surroundings.
