The popular jam brand Romi-Unie Confiture has teamed up with Bread & Espresso, a bakery café known for its delightful offerings, to launch an exciting new collaboration that promises to entice food lovers across Japan. This partnership, initiated by Nihitoto Inc. based in Shibuya, Tokyo, aims to elevate the sweet experience with “jam like candy” through a variety of unique products and events.
Jointly Developed Caramel Cream: Caramel Espresso
The highlight of this collaboration is the creation of the original caramel cream known as “Caramel Espresso”! This rich concoction combines deep, caramelized flavors with the aromatic notes of espresso, making it a perfect indulgence for those with a taste for sophisticated sweets. Whether spread on fresh bread or enjoyed straight from the jar, this caramel cream embodies an adult-like sweetness that is sure to please.
Christmas POP UP Event
From November 1 to December 30, 2025, Bread & Espresso's Jiyugaoka location in Tokyo will host a special event titled “Romi-Unie Christmas POP UP.” This event will feature a selection of products that includes:
- - Romi-Unie's classic jams along with special limited-edition Christmas jams and the exclusive Caramel Espresso.
- - Beautifully packaged sable and gift boxes, featuring delightful baked goods that are not only perfect for gifting but also provide a taste of Romi-Unie's charm.
- - The flavorful romi-unie Tea, blended by Shizuoka’s tea house “teteria,” available in convenient tea bag form.
In addition, guests will be able to enjoy freshly baked scones made from Romi-Unie's recipes, served warm from the oven. The on-site dining experience will include a 'Cream Tea Set' featuring scones paired with a choice from seven types of confiture—including fruit jams and the original caramel—combined with aromatic flavored teas. This delightful offering ensures that visitors can savor every bite and sip.
Additional Offerings at Other Locations
Starting in November 2025, the following locations will also feature Romi-Unie jams and baked goods:
- - Bread & Espresso (Omotesando)
- - Bread & Espresso Yuigahama
- - Bread & Espresso Tokyo & TOKYO
For those visiting the Omotesando and Yuigahama locations, there will be a special “Jam and Bread Selection Set” allowing guests to enjoy carefully selected jams and unique toast recipes exclusive to the cafes.
Crepe-themed cafes “Crepe to Espresso” located in Omotesando and Jiyugaoka will also feature the Caramel Espresso in their delicious crepes starting in December 2025. Additionally, from January 2026, a subscription service offering a regular delivery of bread paired with Romi-Unie jams will become available through the online store.
