Contributions of Judges
The success of this contest was greatly aided by the contributions of the external judges:
- - Akemi Morita (Professor Emeritus at Toyo University): Participated as an expert in creating the ordinance handbook and explanatory video.
- - Taro Yabe (Comedian and Manga Artist): Involved as a creator in producing explanatory videos for lower and upper grade students.
Promoting the Winning Entries
The winning artworks will be utilized for public awareness campaigns regarding the Children’s Basic Ordinance:
1. Wrapping Bus Operation:
The Grand Prize-winning artwork will be featured on the sides of a Toei bus, which will run during a designated period.
- Duration: Late January to late March 2024 (tentative)
- Routes: Lines under the Nerima branch (tentative)

2. Panel Exhibitions:
The winning entries will be displayed on panels at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
- Exhibition Period: March 17-23, 2024
- Location: First floor of the main building, Tokyo Metropolitan Government
In addition, these winning artworks will be used to further disseminate the goals of the Children’s Basic Ordinance across Tokyo.
