A Culinary Journey into Japanese Winter
Riviera Group, headquartered in Tokyo's Minato Ward, has announced an exceptional culinary event at its luxurious resort, Riviera Zushi Marina, located in Kanagawa Prefecture. This two-night exclusive dinner will take place on January 23rd and 24th, 2026. Designed to highlight the cultural value and international appeal of Japanese cuisine, this event will feature a special kaiseki dinner that showcases the luxurious winter ingredients of Japan: crab, blowfish (fugu), and grouper (kue).
This extraordinary meal will be crafted by Chef Yasuhiro Ito, who previously served as the official residence chef at the Japanese Embassy in Greece, providing a unique blend of traditional Japanese culinary techniques honed at prestigious restaurants and international experience catering to global dignitaries. Each dish durante the dinner will reflect the beauty and aesthetic of Japanese cuisine, capturing seasonal changes and the essence of its ingredients.
In recent years, Japanese cuisine has garnered widespread acclaim worldwide, particularly after its designation as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. This has raised questions about how to convey the fundamental values of traditional ingredients, seasonal awareness, and the spirit of hospitality. The upcoming dinner is an initiative aiming to redefine Japanese cuisine—not merely as a cooking style but as a cultural experience that bridges the gap to future generations and the international community.
This two-night experience promises to transcend the conventional dining setting, allowing attendees to engage with the deep-rooted spirituality and essence of hospitality integral to Japanese culinary tradition. Guests are encouraged to embrace a one-of-a-kind gourmet experience that can only be felt at this venue as they welcome the new year.
