Reach the World Day Returns This December 13
As the holiday season approaches, one significant event is set to take place on
December 13—the return of
Reach the World Day. This annual evangelistic Christmas outreach program, led by Dr. David Jeremiah, aims to inspire Christians around the globe to reflect on the true essence of Christmas and share it with others.
A Mission to Share the Gospel
Launched last year, Reach the World Day aims to reach an astonishing
1 billion people with the message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ. The initiative utilizes the docudrama
Why the Nativity?, produced by Turning Point Studios, as the centerpiece for community gatherings, special screenings, and church events. The goal is to encourage individuals and congregations to take a moment during the rush of the holiday season to return to the roots of their faith.
Dr. Jeremiah's ambitious campaign last year saw
Why the Nativity? showcased in
47 cities across 30 countries, reaching an audience of
242 million viewers with 216 airings. Notably, the program also received
18,000 calls and texts from individuals seeking spiritual guidance, resulting in
2,800 lives transformed by the Gospel.
Expanding Reach in 2025
This December, Reach the World Day will expand its reach even further. The event will take place in
25 US theaters and
48 cities around the world spanning
18 countries and
16 languages. Special theatrical releases, church viewing parties, and community engagement activities are planned to ensure that this initiative touches lives far and wide.
Participation is completely free, with no costs to view the film or access promotional materials for holding watch parties. Tickets for screenings are provided at no charge, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to share and partake in this unforgettable experience.
Since its inception in 2022,
Why the Nativity? has been viewed over
660 million times, and last year's efforts alone had an estimated
potential reach of
2.8 billion people. This continued success highlights the communal impact of sharing the nativity story during a time that is often overshadowed by commercialization.
The Significance of Evangelism During Christmas
Dr. David Jeremiah, a respected Bible teacher and founder of Turning Point Ministries, emphasizes the importance of evangelism during the Christmas season. With over 40 years in ministry, he has created extensive programming designed to teach and inspire individuals to understand and share God’s word. Through initiatives like Reach the World Day, he hopes to empower individuals to not only celebrate the season but actively engage in outreach efforts.
Starting the second Saturday of December, attendees of the event are encouraged to gather in community and reflect on the impact of Jesus’s birth, as told through the compelling narrative of
Why the Nativity?. This engaging docudrama serves as a modern retelling that invites viewers to contemplate their faith and the transformative message of the Gospel.
