Right-on Caravan: Bringing Fashion to Medical Facilities
株式会社ライトオン has rolled out an innovative program called
Right-on Caravan, designed to take temporary retail stores and workshops directly to medical and welfare facilities across Japan. This initiative aims to reach individuals who face difficulties accessing shopping venues, allowing them to experience the excitement of selecting clothes and shopping. The expansion of this program, already successful in Hokkaido, now spreads to Tokyo, Aichi, Chiba, and Kanagawa in the current period.
What is Right-on Caravan?
The concept of
Right-on Caravan was launched in 2023 in Hokkaido due to a collaboration with regional medical welfare organizations. There was a mutual desire: local facilities wanted to offer their residents enjoyable shopping experiences, while Right-on aimed to create new value in partnership with the community.
Through this initiative, temporary stores are set up at medical facilities for a limited duration, allowing clients to engage with fashion. Workshop sessions also utilize leftover fabric and denim materials to promote sustainability. The program is adaptable, working with each facility to combine events and workshops tailored to their needs.
As word of the project spread through its successful events in Hokkaido, more facilities have reached out to collaborate, reinforcing Right-on's commitment to prioritize community and social contributions over profit.
Achievements So Far
Since its inception,
Right-on Caravan has successfully hosted a total of 8 events in 2 facilities within Hokkaido. These events include:
- - Seikatsu Kai Midori no Sato, Otaru City: 4 events held in June 2023, October 2023, June 2024, and October 2024.
- - Sapporo Ayumi-no-Sono Welfare Center, Sapporo City: 4 events scheduled for June 2024, October 2024, June 2025, and October 2025.
