RED° TOKYO TOWER Celebrates Its 3rd Anniversary
On April 20, 2025, RED° TOKYO TOWER, Japan's largest digital amusement park, will celebrate its third anniversary. Operated by RED MAKER Inc. based in Minato Ward, Tokyo, this innovative venue blends various fandoms including anime, manga, gaming, and sports.
In celebration of its anniversary, RED° TOKYO TOWER is launching new attractions that integrate Japan's traditional culture. Just recently, on April 11, the park unveiled “The Pinnacle of Cherry Blossom Sculptures” and “Contemporary Kimono Art.” Following these, a highly anticipated VR sword-fighting attraction, titled "VS Sanada Yukimura," is set to debut on April 19.
New Attraction: VS Sanada Yukimura
The "VS Sanada Yukimura" attraction immerses guests in a thrilling VR experience where they engage in combat with the renowned Sanada clan during the historic Siege of Osaka in 1615. Visitors will be able to physically move and fight against the approaching Sanada forces, feeling as if they’ve stepped into the drama themselves.
The Story Behind the Attraction
As the forces of Tokugawa Ieyasu surround the Toyotomi faction, a shocking sight emerges: a bold unit clad in red armor launches a fierce attack on Ieyasu’s headquarters, aiming for his head. Experience this pivotal moment in Japanese history through an exhilarating virtual reality lens.
Crowdfunding for Sumo Attraction
Coinciding with the launch of "VS Sanada Yukimura," RED° TOKYO TOWER has also initiated a crowdfunding campaign to create a new interactive Sumo attraction. Despite having a history of over 1,000 years, Sumo remains relatively unexplored for many, especially the opportunity to experience it firsthand.
RED° aims to merge technology with traditional Sumo, creating an attraction that allows younger generations to engage with Japanese culture actively. This initiative intends to foster an appreciation for Japan’s rich traditions and support the evolution of cultural experiences.
