The Epic Romance and Destiny in 'Love and Destiny' Series Now Streaming Exclusively on FOD

A Journey of Love and Fate in 'Love and Destiny'

Starting September 4th at midnight, Fujitv's FOD platform will exclusively stream the captivating Chinese drama, Love and Destiny. This series promises an epic blend of action, romance, and fantasy, exploring the profound connection between two souls bound by fate over a thousand years.

Love and Destiny revolves around the legendary relic known as the "Qianqiu Ling", which holds the power to shape the destinies of the Three Realms. At the center of this tale are two characters connected by a tragic love story that transcends time. Starring the immensely popular Chinese actors, Zhang Yu Xi and Dong Meng Xi, the series promises a visually stunning depiction of love tested by trials and fate’s whims.

The title, Qianqiu translates to “eternity”, while Ling signifies “narrative of destiny”, perfectly encapsulating the series' grand themes of love intertwined with fate, echoing similar successes like The Untamed and Word of Honor. Fans of these earlier series will find much to love in this new installment of the 'Ling' (Destiny) series.

Zhang Yu Xi, renowned for her roles in Liquid Love and Sisters Who Make Waves, shares the screen with Dong Meng Xi, known for his striking performances in Joy of Life and The Moon in the Clouds. Together, they portray a heartwrenching yet beautiful love story, navigating through cycles of reincarnation that test the strength of their bond.

Accompanying the lead cast are several acclaimed actors familiar to Japanese audiences, including Han Dong from Scarlet Heart and Fu Fang Jun from Liquid Love. The series is masterfully directed by Mai Guanzi and Li Weiji, with an incredible team that ensures a captivating visual experience. After its release on China’s Mango TV in April 2025, Love and Destiny made a remarkable entrance into the streaming landscape, quickly achieving a spot in the top 10, owing to its gripping storyline and stunning visuals.

Love and Destiny begins with Bai Yan (played by Dong Meng Xi), the Dragon War God, tasked with protecting the ancient relic from dark forces. After sealing the Qianqiu Ling beneath an ice field, Bai Yan falls into a deep slumber following an epic battle against the demonic master Xuan Yi. Fast forward a millennium, and the phoenix Niao Huang (played by Zhang Yu Xi) inadvertently meets Bai Yan during her quest to revive her sister, resulting in dire consequences that threaten her life. In an effort to save her, Bai Yan grants Niao Huang a powerful dragon pearl, leaving a mark of the phoenix on her neck—a symbol of their intertwined fates.

Fast forwarding to their reincarnations as Mo Xiao and Wu Chen, the pair finds themselves drawn to each other, despite having no recollection of their past lives. However, Wu Chen soon uncovers the dark truth that Mo Xiao was the one who killed her father in their previous lives. This painful revelation shrouds their love in anguish, pitting love against vengeance, while Mo Xiao struggles with his inherited fate as the son of the Demon King.

As the series unfolds, the Demon King Zhang Guang seeks to exploit the Qianqiu Ling to dominate the Three Realms, prompting the two protagonists to rise against fate itself. Uniting in a shared quest to protect their world and defy the forces that threaten their existence, the series showcases a powerful narrative of love, sacrifice, and the indomitable human spirit.

In a story rich with emotional depth, breathtaking visuals, and high-stakes action, Love and Destiny promises to capture the hearts of its viewers. FOD invites everyone to experience this extraordinary tale where love and destiny collide, launching a captivating new chapter in the landscape of Chinese drama.
